| I discovered Indian Classical music on one of my numerous journeys to Asia and was fascinated by the universal message of this art. My interest grew with each journey to India. The soft sound of the Bansuri (bamboo flute), which I had discovered in Varanasi, the holy city at the river Ganges, captured my heart. In December 2001 I began to learn to play this instrument seriously under the guidance of Shri Harsh Wardhan in Delhi. One year later I became a student of Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia in the Gurukul Vrindavan in Bombay. Through the teaching of this great master Indian Music has changed my life. I found thereby a new task:The journey to my Inner Self, which is expressed by the music. Indian Classical Music is an incredible ocean where I try to go deeper and deeper with the guidance of my masters. I hope that the beautiful, universal message of this music will reach many souls. |
